A hollow-moulded terracotta alabastron depicting a female kore, an integral ovoid plinth. She stands with her left foot slightly advanced, and wears a headband, chiton and himation. With her right hand, she holds a dove to her chest, and with her left hand, she draws the draws the side panel of the chiton to the side. Her serene visage consists of downturned almond-shaped eyes, a small nose, slender cheeks, and she wears the 'archaic smile'. Of the Aphrodite Group type.
Archaic East Greek: Circa 550-525 B.C.
Fine condition; complete and intact.
Height 17.3 cms (6.8 ins).
