A ceramic Greek Attic lekythos with single handle. The body is decorated in red-figure technique with a woman, facing right, seated on a chair, holding a mirror to her face, viewing her reflection. She is elegantly draped in a long chiton and her hair is placed in an elegant chignon. Great care has been taken in painting the details. Geometric meander patterning decorates the shoulders along with slanted lines, whilst the neck has been coloured in white.
Attic: Circa 4th-3rd century BC
Condition: Surface chips to the body in places, otherwise Very fine condition.
Height 13 cms (5 ins)
