A Canaanite Bronze Age olla jug. The vessel is finely potted in sand-coloured terracotta with a cylindrical neck and small spout with flaring below which is a small, ribbed handle. The upper body is decorated with a stylised snake around the shoulders below a pattern of radiating lines, rendered in reddish-brown pigment.
Canaanite Bronze Age: Circa 1600-1200 BC.
Complete and intact: a few light accretions and earthy deposits.

Chocolate-on-White ware is the description commonly given to the Bronze Age Southern Levant pottery characterized by a white slip and light brown to black decorations on it.
