A turquoise glazed faience composition aegis amulet in high relief, with head of Bastet, or Tefnut as a lion, with sun-disk over her head, tripartite wig showing under her mane, and a large multi-strands collar necklace (called a wesekh). Pierced behind the disk for suspension. Flat unmodelled reverse.
Egyptian Late Period, circa 664-32 BC
