A Hellenistic bronze finger ring of simple form, the oval bezel engraved to depict a stylised Greek hoplite warrior wearing helmet, holding shield and sword at the guard.
Hellenistic: circa 2nd to 1st century BC.
Condition: Very Fine
Internal diameter: 18.3 mms (approximate size British Q, USA 8 1/4, Europe 57.5).
Provenance: Ex old English collection, purchased on the London art market, pre-2000.
