A small pale blue glazed faience amulet depicting Horus the child, identified by the finger to the mouth and the sidelock of youth. He wears a sun disc on his head and is seated on top of a lotus blossom pedestal. Integral suspension loop on the back of his head. Small size but lovely detail and a rare depiction.

 

Egyptian Late Period: Circa 6th to 1st century BC.

 

Very fine condition generally; missing front right corner of the slab base, otherwise intact.
