An interesting rare pale green stone amuletic seal with pierced suspension loop at the top. The base is inscribed with five incised lines of hieroglyphic cursive script, which possibly referring to a man called Sessi (son of It-Sessy??), and perhaps another name with the theophoric element Amun? and that he may live forever, but this interpretation is not verified.

Egyptian Late Dynastic period: Circa 600-300 B.C.

Condition: Very fine condition

Length 28 mms (1.1 ins).

Ex Mustaki Collection. Mustaki was an avid collector in the early 20th century and his collection came to the UK under Egyptian licence in 1947.
