A Roman glass iridescent flask with a single handle. The vessel has an out-turned rim, short neck, a piriform body and stands on a flat base, indented in the centre. The handle is attached to the underside of the rim and the shoulder. The surface of the glass is covered with an attractive silvery crust.
Ancient Roman: Circa 3rd-4th Century AD.
Condition: Complete and intact.
Height 10.3 cms (4 ins).
Provenance: Belgium private collection of Mr. and Mrs. S., Ghent, Belgium. Acquired from Christophe Varosi, Brussels, in March 2013.
