A Roman pale green glass beaker. The vessel is decorated below the rim with bands of wheel-cut lines; tapering walls with four indents, and a plain base, slightly concave towards the centre.

 

Roman eastern empire: Circa 2nd-3rd Century AD.

 

Condition: Complete and intact.

Height: 8.6 cms (3.4 ins).

 

Provenance: A.L. collection, Bayern, since 1970s. Gorny and Mosch, Munich, 14 December 2010, lot 117 (part). Property from a Princely Collection, acquired at the above sale, from the Collection of the Princely House of Liechtenstein.
